Project Background

Support services for integrated mechanical, electrical, embedded and software engineering for hitech products through our customer’s engineering request tracking system. Typical activities included engineering change management, first article inspection issues, field service support requests, obsolete part issues, pre / post launch support and dynamically assigned short and long-term requests for PCB designs, ECAD, board modifications, testing and application support.

What we did

Our engineering support center for our customer was focused on services for integrated mechanical, electrical, embedded and software engineering for hitech products. The tickets were created from six global locations by a diverse team that included NPD team, field engineers and technicians, software developers, testing and purchasing. Our SLAs were very clearly defined upfront for simple and complex tasks and our service evaluation metrics included number of tickets resolved, quality of deliverables and the time trend on ticket resolution. Our tremendous success in this relationship was largely built upon proper selection and induction of our engineers' establishment of robust processes, operational excellence and our ability to archive and pervasively reuse lessons learnt.
