Our customer is a leader in the Japanese transportation maintenance industry. They had a suite of mission critical desktop legacy applications which enable the monitoring of safety and stability of critical structures. We were engaged to upgrade the applications, enhance the features, optimize their performance and validate all outputs and recommendations from these applications. This required a thorough mastery of the domain knowledge including structural engineering, data analysis, Japanese safety standards and data analysis. We capitalized on our domain knowledge and expertise in state-of-the-art application development, data analytics and edge computing to empower field workers with tablets and handheld devices.

What we did

We undertook a thorough study of the customer’s mission critical desktop legacy applications which enable the monitoring of safety and stability of critical structures. This included structural engineering methodologies, data analysis techniques and Japanese safety standards. Armed with this knowledge we set out to develop the solution architecture for upgrading the applications, enhancing the features, optimizing their performance and validating all outputs. We deployed state-of-the-art application development, data analytics and edge computing to empower field workers with tablets and handheld devices. We developed dashboards to provide timely recommendations to execute real time intervention and preemptive action to improve performance and substantially reduce down time. Our customer was completely impressed with our capabilities and our professionalism on this mission critical initiative.

What we did

CREATIVE’S application development team based out of India scoped out the requirements from the customer’s operations team. The nested input details including drawings, data and interfaces were comprehensively studied. They served as the basis for architecture development and the webpage design along with apps for android and IOS. The team used android studio, X code and visual studio as development tools, based on MVC architecture. All the software was extensively tested and documented and long term training support and training were provided to the customer’s global user base.
